Eligibility criteria for each award

Best AOI National Branch Award & Zonal Best AOI City Branch Award
Apply Only for Zonal Best City Branch. 2 Best City Branches will be selected for Best AOI National Branch (1 Winner, 1 Runners Up)

Eligibility Criteria

  • Branch should be affiliated with National Body
  • Branch should be functioning for at least 5 years
  • Must be Registered with Bye Laws/Regulations in Registrar Firms and Society
  • Regular Elections for the Governing Body should be conducted
  • Membership Roaster should be available
  • Proper accounts should be maintained

Salient points to be considered for Award

  • Scientific Activities conducted from January 2023 till 31 December should be included in the Report (Activities from 1st Dec to 31st Dec shall be taken as forthcoming activities)
  • Regular monthly and yearly clinical meetings held
  • Seminar/ Conference/Workshops organized in Last 5 years
  • Social Work like community services and Screening camps held
  • Social get-together of members and family
  • MCI Credit hours awarded to the branch
  • State and District level CME for the AOI Members
  • Name of the faculties in the CME
*Report (Soft Copy) should be mailed to the Hon. Secretary AOI.
*Last Date for submission of Nomination 30th November 2023

Dr. Gananathan Govindswamy AOI Research Paper Award

  • Age during presentation should be below 35 years. (Age proof to be furnished along with abstract)
  • Nationality- Indian
  • Certificate from Head of the Department is mandatory mentioning that student has conducted Original Research Work.
  • The Article should not be published or presented anywhere else or copied from elsewhere.
  • 3 years post Graduate Student or passed PG within one year before the date of Conference
  • Both MS ENT and DNB ENT candidates can apply.
  • Post holders of AOI National Body and their relatives or any candidate related to AOICON organizing committee cannot apply for the Research Award Paper.
  • Must be a AOI Member.
  • Paper must be submitted in the form of article for submission in journal IJOHNS.
  • Paper must be submitted before the last date of submission of declared by AOICON Organizing Committee.
  • Case Report and Video are not accepted.
  • Appropriate Ethical Clearance Certificate from Ethics Committee has to be submitted.
  • Research shall not be sponsored from a Private company or Government.

Dr. R. A. F. Cooper Award Paper

  • AOI Life Membership is Mandatory.
  • For Junior Consultants with Post graduate Degree/ Diploma in ENT & Head Neck Surgery.
  • Age should be less than 35 years at the time of Presentation (Age proof to be furnished along with abstract)
  • The candidates have to send Full Original Article in the field of Otorhinolaryngology & Head Neck Surgery.
  • The Article should not be published or presented anywhere else before presentation.
  • The Original Research article should be sent in a double sealed envelope to the Hon. Secretary, AOI Office before the last date of submission declared for Award categories by AOICON Organizing Committee
  • The Winner of the Award will have the privilege or presentation in Oration Hall on 1st day of AOI Conference.
  • The Award winning article will be published as a Main article in IJOHNS.
  • Time duration- 20 minutes (This includes 5 minutes introduction)

Dr. R. A. F. Cooper & Gananathan Govindswamy Award

  • Submit your nomination to Hon. Secretary, AOI Office on or before the date declared for Award categories by AOICON Organizing Committee.

Dr. K. U. Shah Senior Consultant Award Paper

  • AOI Life Membership is Mandatory
  • More than 40 Years of age (Age proof to be furnished along with abstract)
  • Abstract should not be more than 200 words
  • Abstract should be formatted in MS Word: Times Roman Font size 12
  • Abstract should be under the following Headings- Title, Presenting Author, Aim, Methodology, Results, Conclusion
  • Time duration: 8 minutes

Dr. P. A. Shah Junior Consultant Award Paper

  • AOI Life Membership is Mandatory
  • Age should be less than 40 years (Age proof to be furnished along with abstract)
  • Abstract should not be more than 200 words
  • Abstract should be formatted in MS Word: Times Roman Font size 12
  • Abstract should be under the following Headings- Title, Presenting Author, Aim, Methodology, Results, Conclusion
  • Time duration: 8 minutes

Dr. Sandra Nisha De Souza PG Award Paper

  • AOI Life Membership is Mandatory
  • Bonafide Certificate from HOD of the Department to be attached with the Abstract
  • Abstract should not be more than 200 words
  • Abstract should be formatted in MS Word: Times Roman Font size 12
  • Abstract should be under the following Headings- Title, Presenting Author, Aim, Methodology, Results, Conclusion
  • Time duration: 8 minutes

Dr. Anoop Raj S L Jaiswal E-Poster Award

  • AOI Life Membership is Mandatory
  • Candidate should submit Power Point Presentation in 10 slides (for single case Report) % 20 slides (for Case Series)
  • A Passport size Photograph of Presenter should be included in the presentation
  • Abstract should not be more than 200 words
  • Abstract should be formatted in MS Word: Times Roman Font size 12
  • Abstract should be under the following Headings- Title, Presenting Author, Aim, Methodology, Results, Conclusion
  • Time duration: 8 minutes

Dr. S. L. Jaiswal Video Award Session

  • Video can be any subject related to ENT disorders- Diagnosis, Management, Prevention, Surgery, Patient Education etc.
  • Video should be in MPEG 3/ MPGE 4/ AVI Format.
  • The Committee of three Nominated Members will judge the session. The Committee’s decision will be based on the content and technical expertise and will be final.
  • Only first twenty videos received before the due date will be accepted for the content.
  • The participants who have not received Dr. S. L. Jaiswal Video Award Session in the last Two years will be eligible to participate in the competition.

Rhinology Quiz and Dr. Prem Kakkar ENT Quiz

  • AOI Membership is mandatory
  • Registration of AOICON is compulsory.
  • All postgraduate students should enclose a Bonafied Certificate of their HOD.
  • Elimination round will be on the first day of the conference “AOICON” and Final round of the competition will be held in the main Hall in front of the audience on second day of conference.
